Kenny Anderson
Case Manager
My name is Kenny Anderson and I'm a retired Case Manager consultant with over 20-years experience, including being homeless myself, before overcoming my personal barriers and improving my life. Now I'm using my life experiences and Case Manager skills to help others in need. I have been engaged by Kirkwood HELPS to provide case management services and support to Kirkwood neighbors in need of assistance with housing, mental health and medical health services, referrals, ID’s and other personal needs.
During the initial phase of the Kirkwood HELPS Pilot I will be available to meet with Kirkwood’s unhoused seeking assistance, one-on-one, at Kirkwood United Church of Christ (KUCC) every Wednesday between the hours of 10 am – 2 pm. My availability and workload may increase over time depending on Pilot success and funding.
Since 2020, I have been providing case manager services and helping people in need in DeKalb County by providing them with advocacy, information and effective pathways to improvement. During that 3-year time-frame, I have had one-day per week engagements at A Home for Everyone and North Decatur Presbyterian Church in Decatur and accumulated an impressive record of success stories about individuals I’ve helped.
I look forward to helping Kirkwood’s unhoused seeking assistance with overcoming their barriers and changing their lives for the better!!
